That's pretty much what PipingDesign.com is all about. Letting you know what's out there and filtering-out the crap and pure ad sites.
I don't pretend that my site is a masterpiece, it's really just an extended links page with a very focused viewership and partially-acceptable graphics.
Sponsorship is difficult to come by, even with a distinctive URL. Then again, maybe I'm just not a real good salesman.
