Custom Start Page

You can use this as your start page (you'll have to download the files* onto your local hard drive and configure your browser appropriately) to speed up access to search engines, news, mech eng and other sites. Once installed properly, this page will load very fast after you start up your browser.

(Hey, if speed wasn't important, we'd all still be using Compaq 386s,
right?)

Alternatively, you can make it your start page from PipingDesign.com. It will still be faster than waiting for advertisement-laden search sites to load and is very useful for those that do a lot of web searches. Give it a try from the URL above. If anyone wants to try this and cannot get it to work, I'll email the two files offlist (this distribution list is set to discard attachments for obvious reasons).

Those that like to experiment with HTML can easily customize the page to their own requirements and replace the PipingDesign.com graphic with their own.

(parts of that page are out of date and non-functioning) and my revised
version seems to work OK with IE5.5 and NS 4.6. I'll likely be updating the page, so I'll let everyone know when changes are made by including updates with the usual "New at PipingDesign.com" messages.
