I would recommend a book called "Process Plant Layout and Design"
by Ed Bausbacher and Roger Hunt,isbn 0131386298. You can order this book
from Barnes and Noble or Amazon books

Subject: [PipingDesign] reference textbooks for P&ID drawings
I am somewhat new to using P&ID's and making these type drawings.
Can someone recommend good reference textbooks on the
subject of P&ID drawings. Symbols used, different symbol standards;
i.e. ANSI, ISO, ISA, ASME and others. As well as description of some
of the
considerations needed for these kinds of drawings?
