Hi "Don,
In my experience symbols for P&ID's are usually in house standards or
client based.
However you could try asking for some books by Rip Weaver in you local
bookstore.
I believe the title of the book is Piping draughting or possible Process
draughting.
All the best

Subject: [PipingDesign] reference textbooks for P&ID drawings
Security Level:? Internal
I am somewhat new to using P&ID's and making these type drawings.
Can someone recommend good reference textbooks on the
subject of P&ID drawings. Symbols used, different symbol standards;
i.e. ANSI, ISO, ISA, ASME and others. As well as description of some
of the
considerations needed for these kinds of drawings?
