By default, the PipingDesign mailing list message delivery system
is set to "moderated" status for all new subscribers. This means
that I must review and approve each message sent to the list. I've
done this to eliminate the possibility of spamming the 200+
members of PipingDesign. Some long-time listers have re-subscribed
and as such are also moderated by the software.
I have changed the "status" settings of certain subscribers, based on recent list activity. The email addresses that are now unmoderated will see their messages/replies go through to the list within a few minutes, instead of having to wait for me to act as editor.
Please don't send test messages to see if you're moderated or not (unless you have a nagging piping design-related issue that you've always been meaning to post/reply to). The only messages I've ever had to deny/reject were spam-related or offensive. And there hasn't been very many of them.
We've had a lot of good discussion lately, with personalities and viewpoints emerging. Added to this are the various technical questions and replies from the members. When I originally started the list I hoped for such involvement. I am gratified to see that others are interested and willing to trade ideas and thoughts about a seemingly esoteric field of design.
