Re: P&ID

Hi, P&ID does stand for Piping & Instrumentation Diagram. The term PFD stands for Process Flow Diagram which is a heat & material balance diagram. I guess somebody else could tell you differently, but "PIP" Process Industry Practices and "ISA" Instrument Society of America also refers to the term P&ID in this fashion. Everett Nichols
