A younger guy asked me today what "CSO" stood for. Of course, it's
"Car Seal Open" (a method of locking a valve in the open position
so it cannot be easily tampered-with, say, on the inlet piping of
a safety valve), and "CSC" is "Car Seal Closed".
Does anyone know where the term "car seal" comes from?
