I have to say, as a relative newbie in the design field, the guys that REALLY know anything about it are the guys who build it. I have a lot of respect for the fab guys and if a fab guy came along and told me "THIS is how it's done" I would sit up and take notice any day. I mean, it's one thing to talk about theory and what SHOULD work, but it's a whole different ball park to talk about what DOES work.
