RTJ or RF flange?

Hai all,

1)I need to know when to select a Raised face flange and when to use a Ring Joint flange . In the company I worked earlier we used to specify RTJ ends for flanges above 600 rating ( i,e 900 and above )and Raised Face for 600 rating and below. Is there any book /technical literature that give the information on choosing the flange ends with solid technical reasons.

2)Can any body tell me from their experience for Hydrogen and Nace service 900 /1500 rating is it good to use RF flange or an RTJ flange ( As I want to use the RTJ FLANGE whereas some are saying they had leaks on RTJ and want to use RF flange )

Any guideline / input /experience will be highly appreciated.
