Next time try using a lighter weight 'olet. WFI International (www.wfi-intl.com) make sch. 5S & 10S branch connections. These lighter weight "Pipet" connectors allow you to use fewer weld passes thus minimizing heat distortion on the run pipe. We used Bonney Forge for years and they are excellent on sch. 40 and heavier materials, but had some distortion problems occasionally when making up manifolds with numerous branches. That problem was solved using the WFI units.
