Insulpipe have a foamed polyurethane with a uPVC outer sheath. This is New
Zealand company but I am sure the technology exists in other parts of the world.
Try Eurapipe (part of the Tyco group) in Australia. They are manufacturing an
ABS with a foamed core and outer PE sheath just for such applications. They have
projects in the Middle East and Pakistan where chilled water is reticulated to
users. email contact David Stevens <a href="/group/PipingDesign/post?postID=wO8HnJMdJlS7BFehZrN38DuXldxvsONRZfE66rcftY_PYBaCa9LY5z-BLf4eE5gL0PJtMDoOrFzbKJTuc53s2aiuDJQ">stevensda@eurapipe.com.au</a>

Subject: [PipingDesign] Lagging for Chilled Water Piping
Hi Forum Members
Recently there was a flurry of notes on pipe and vessel cladding.
Can anyone out there advise on the use of cladding for chilled water piping, 7 -
12 deg C?
I believe there are specific types for cold duty? Pitfalls, both from corrosion through condensation in the pipe - lagging interface, point of view and heat gain.
In short, any info would be welcome.
