Most FLUPS are made from a piece of shaft that has been turned down to fit tightly in the bolt hole of a flange. Most are turned down with a series of steps so they will work an a wide range of bolt hole sizes. There are some other designs on the market but I usually buy the simple bars as I don't get nearly as angry when they get lost and they are virtually indestructible.
