I asked for and received the NASA software, but found it to be only a simple
hoop stress calculator. It does not do flexibility analysis.

website under Miscelleaneous/software? I have tried to download it but it

i havent seen the works published by S. W. Spielvogel mentioned in most of the threads related to piping book query except from Geoff. Title is Expansion and Flexibility for Piping. Expansion joints are covered beginning page 151. I dont know if this excelletn reference is still being prnted.(museaum pieces?)
What Geoff has mention are great for those who dont have the pipe stress software. It enable u to perfrom flexibility analysis using graphs, shapes and tables. I can remember the time where there are programs created for HP and TI calculators for 2 anchors up to five elements piping inclduing the branch reinforcement and the piping load analysis for pumps, compressors and turbines (api and nema). Anybody know some sites showing routine for porgrammable caluclators -sure appreicate it.
