         I started my own Piping and Piping maintenance Company for these very reasons. The people I was working for wanted to see things done as cheaply as possible not necessarily the right way or the way that would be most cost effective in the long run. If I had a dollar for every time I was told "there's no I in team" simply for speaking up when I felt uncomfortable about a situation. My response was always Well There's only one U in screw up.

         For some reason however, companies are more receptive of doing things correctly when someone out side their organization recommends it. I think it has to do with an overall trend to out source
