Algor has a website and tutorial and so does Coade. But then again
what the software does is spew out numbers and should only be treated
as a tool to aide in design analysis. I didn't know that cosmos/m is
still around?
My advise is to understand the Code requirement you are working with including the Specification/Standard of the Company you're working. Most of the result that you are interested with is all about compliance. The Code will not tell you how to built a vessel nor design pipe but it will tell the rules that you have to comply with to ensure safe design.
