This program is designed to help you size pipes for various flows. It provides velocity limits which can be altered. Pipe diameters can be selected from a list which contains data on schedule and ID pipe diameters. Alternatively, any diameter can be entered. The program shows you graphically if you are outside the proposed velocity guide line. As a further guide to a good pipe diameter selection, the program provides the friction factor for water in feet of water per 100 feet of pipe for the selected flow rate and pipe size (assumes smooth steel pipe). This can further assist you in the diameter selection since for short pipe runs a smaller diameter may be acceptable.
