one of the most practical heat exchanger book i have ever used is the one
written by Stanley Yokel. i can remember the problem we're having where the
first 3 rows of tubes have expereinced leaks (evaporators). Cause of tube
failure is the impingement od the steam . The fix we have impelented came
straight from Stanley book and it works. No leakers for the past5 years.
Same thing with the flange leaks on our vaporizer (big) where we have
extreme temp condition (high temp differential) Again the basis of our
repair came from Stanley and again it works.
The Airetool has provided free seminars dealing with the heat exchanger retubing in the past - compelete with certificates.
