Q: Software Interface (GUI) Intuitivity

We all know that piping design is already a complicated enough task, are there specific programs you've used that makes it easy to communicate with the machine?

Perhaps the various CAD programs out there are the best example of this, since combining images and engineering is somewhat of an art.

Here's an example:

GIMP www.gimp.org. It takes some getting used to for Windows users because of the interface, but once habituated - takes maybe 10 minutes - it does what one expects it to do and more. Oh, yeah, it's free, too if you can afford the connect time to download about 25MB. Aside from the lack of GIF format support due to legal issues (we should all be viewing JPGs and PNGs, anyway), this software is a serious competitor to Adobe's Photoshop.

Anyhow, I seem to have gotten off track here. I know that many on the list have used a variety of software packages, which ones did you like best, and why?
