  1. I think it has to do with Sulphide formation in presence of hydogen which may accelerate corrosion.
  2. The Code talks of only hardness. It is silent on stress.
  3. !!?

Subject: [PipingDesign] Material Composition : Sulphur Content and NACE and

       Hydrogen Attack

Hi

My questions are as follows

1)Why is the sulphur content limited to <= 0.015 % . Does sulphur content in any way expedite hydrogen attack corrosion?.

2)I am still trying to get a copy of MR0175 ...does this code put any limitation on the allowable stress under operating condition if the sulphur content exceeds the above said value?.

3)Any good web sites on corrosion and materials apart from nidi and nace.

Thanks in Advance
