Chris (our resident forensic engineer - he knows why things fall
apart and thus is an extremely valuable resource) makes an
excellent point here.
This is a discussion list, not a "be-all-and-end-all" source of information. Always check the codes, this Piping Design Central mailing list is not a replacement for sound engineering practices.
Hopefully, ideas bounced around here will result in better design and/or improvements.
And thanks to all for contributing. Someday, I hope to be able to announce that someone actually saved a million dollars during construction as a result of being subscribed to this list.
