just know that the response that was given to a gentleman asking a question
about hot taps made a few of us upset. yes it was a simple question. no it
did not deserve the response it got. this suppose to be a forum for us all
to receive and give information.
thank god that there is more to pipe than "centerline to centerline"
yet very rarely do we see any "routing, valve access, or fitting dimension
questions".
it seems that they are always questions dealing with engineering issues.
maybe we can start a "pompous engineering forum"...

You know all this talk about stupid questions, from the pompous asses, has kind of pissed me off. When I first signed up for this group I assumed that the majority of the folks were like me. Piping Designers who sat at a board or in front of a screen running pipe from center of ell to center of tee. Yeah we are all not Piping Engineers - if there really is such a thing. There are no stupid questions. If you are discouraged by some of the more mudane questions then get off the mailing list. If the questions are all supposed to be regarded as highly technical, then I suggest that Paul re-name the site "Piping Engineering". E. Nichols
