Well put. I think the bigest problem with the so-called 'stupid' questions is the assumption that the person hasn't bothered to get a little background in the subject before posting. All the flaming about horse's ass engineers and CAD monkey designers and fitter apes is a little distressing, even after hearing it all from time to time over 35 years in the biz. Anyone making blanket statements like that is sticking a poker right up his own kilt because we all depend on each other. If I tell a welder to stop asking dumb questions and get on with his work one day, there's a good chance I'll get 'I dunno' for an answer when I need help with a fab problem the next. You never know when a returned favor will pull your butt out of the fire.
