Piping :Layout

  1. Is the hydraulics of the piping system being addreesed by the designer during the piping layout. Ditto for accessibility, maintainability, operability, economics and surveillability. The reason i ask is that practice here at our plant is we dont for the hydraulics but we do for constructability and accesibility.
  2. What is the rule of thumb practice by the pipng designer in the industry to mitigate a wind-induced resonant vibration of large bore piping supported at regular interval.. Im refering to a piping subjected to w ind load above 20 MPH.
  3. How is the cased crossing sealed and how does one center the piping inside the casing - for piping crossing roads.
  4. For utility piping, is it necessary to install a local indicator (PI) and a drain valve on a utility station and is it also necessary to cap/plugged or blind both ends of open piping whenever hose (or breakaway spool) is disconnected?question is both for utility and process side.
