This book defines a number of schedules for the hours
required to handle, weld, test etc cs and alloy
piping. Have any of the members of the group compared
the rates herein with actual job site production rates
in the USA and elsewhere in the world? have there
beeen any conference papers on pipe estimating?
One of the areas of concern I have with the publication is that in the alloy section the are % adders for this type of piping. I fail to see how handling DN 200 alloy pipe attracts a 40+% adder to carbon steel?
Anyone experienced with using this publication is invited to return constructive comments. Is there any other publication worth using?
Cheers
Geoff Stone
