para 323.2.2 Lower tempearure limit
For CS, the min.. temp is defined by the curve and notes (temp vs nom. thickness) in Fig. 323.2.2 (or Fig. UCS-66 and 66.1 if u have the Section VIII). May i suggest the u also check out Table 323.2.2 Reqt for low temp toughness test and Table 323.3.1 impact test reqt for metals.
The Code offers no help at all to select a material based on a particular fluid service. However the Code is a good source in selecting a suitable material from a temperaure point of view.
