Hi,
Pls try www.isa.org site. They have quite a collection on I&C books. My favourite is "SCADA: Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition 2nd Edition" by Stuart A. Boyer.
It provides a general over view of SCADA with an example on gas pipeline monitoring using radio link.
The other book you might try is the "PID controllers: theory, design and tuning 2nd Edition".
Also you might want to check on books regarding PLCs. Hope this helps,
