Mott is very reliable as a filter (mostly at catalyst section of our
polymers). It still amazes me how mott ever came out with this very unique
prodcut. Not sure if it can be used as a sparger (possibly yes since its
made of thousand of micro holes). Cleaning is normally by ultrasound.
Most of the Sparger is just a piece of header with lots of branches and the
branch section is full of lil holes.Ive modified one sparger long time ago
(with the help of the licensor) for distillation column using the book by
Ertnest Ludwig - Applied Porcess Design for Chemical and Process Plant.
Maybe it'll help. Good Luck.
