100% agree with you Austin. at the fab shop, our fitup tools are all by dearman. Climax is also worth the money to prep the pipe and so is Wachs guilotine tools. Ive seen the contractor use the dearman and borrowwed our wachs - must be the skilled of the pipefitter. what suprises me is the welder and the inspector. He should have insisted that the fitup be made right and the inspector should have rejected it (visual and in-process was clearly stated in the inspection req't . Happen in the night shift where murphy's law always hit.
