The problem is not the piping but rather the AST. The settlement of the tank
is more serious than the routing of the piping. Fix the settlement (using
API 653 Tank Inspection Code), then maybe u dont have to modify the
piping..Currenlty we're doing bottom plate replacement, shell repair and
correction of settlement in about 4 process tanks - the whole works such
NDE, geotechnical survey, CUI, CP upgrade, fitness-for-purpose assessment,
etc.
My recommendation is check first the mech'l entigrity (suitability for service) of the AST then focus on the piping.
