We have many applications for sea water using ABS
material. This material is available in classes up to
15 bar at 20C. It doesnt cost as much as carbon steel
to install and you dont have to paint it. Its
available in sizes to DN 750. It can be solvent welded
or fitted with rubber ring joints.
It can be used for food applications too. On a recent holiday in Western Australia I saw its use in the largest lobster farm in the southern hemisphere. The pipe was out in the sun, waves breaking across it and with pumped sea water keeping $3 million worth of lobsters alive.
