  1. yes. normally tracers are made of cu tubing.
  2. the last time i purchased the heat transfer cement from thermon, it came in a 1 gal can. it looks more like a putty or cement and applied by trowel. the hardware itself was supplied by thermon (can be fabricated locally, its just like an L shape bar banded to the pipe).

the installation instruction (with picture), the msds and the spec sheet can all be found in the thermon web site

3. thermon.com will have the price and the right heat trasnfer compund youre looking or u may contact knox.pitzer.sr@thermon.com.

4. my experience with this type of product is limited to thermon.
