For sea water service MONEL is the best and the proven material for intrumentation impulse
lines. Suitable gasket material is CAF Graphite faced. Regards

                                     Please  give your views on the

suitability of use of 316L in sea water service for intrumentation impulse lines at the discharge piping of brine circulating pumps.The chloride contents of the sea water is 20,000-30,000 ppm.,Temp is around 40 Deg.C. at 10 bar pressure.Also give some suitable gasket materials ,also let me know if graphite can be used or not?
