I wish to heat HFO using a shell and tube heater. Screw pumps located 20
meters away from the tank transfers the oil from a storage tank to a day
tank 200 met away. Could forum members suggest which option would be best;
i.e.
Positioning the heater on the pump (1) suction or on the (2) delivery?
Would locating the pump on the suction possibly cause the oil to flash under
suction pressure. (My main fear)
The oil temperature shall not exceed 65 deg C.
If this information is insufficient for a suggestion, please advise.
