The design will depend on the type of anchors. 1.) Trunnion anchors (duck-foot design) - Piping Scope -Design is basically of the trunnion treated as the pipe member. There are standard formulas available for duckfoot design.
Structural Scope - The connected structure / foundation. 2) Shoe - Anchor - Piping scope - Attachments welded to the pipe ie. shoe / axial stops etc. The individual members may be checked in design for elastic limit for the different loading conditions. The structural properties may be taken from the appropriate Steel Tables. If required structural dept may be consulted. But I feel some typical anchors may be modelled and analysed in STAAD and kept as reference. It is not a difficult job.
Structural Scope - The connected Structure. This was the case for static loadings. For dynamic loading the stiffness and mass of the support should also be considered for accurate analysis of the piping system.

Subject: [PipingDesign] Anchor Forces & Moments
Friends,
In one of our projects, Anchor forces & moments is the cause of arguments & discussions of the experts.
How do we check that the anchor forces & moments are with in the allowable limits? I mean the anchor itself does not fail.
Is there any formula to check the strength of the anchor? In this case how
to
calculate the allowable value for (Fx, Fy, Fz & Mx, My, Mz).
Thanks & regards.
