not.
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves has lower operation torque than the Floater
Type.
Trunnion mounted Ball Valve can be purchased with many different seat
material option. (critical especially for low strength materials such as
PTFE).
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves are more expensive then Floaters
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves can relief body cavity pressure easier then the
Floaters.
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves can work better under sudden temperature
changes. (Because of the spring loaded seats)
Trunnion mounted Ball Valves (standard) seat with upstream seats. Floaters
with down stream seats.
Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves can seal on both seats if specified. (double
action seat feature, If upstream seat leaks down stream will seal)
Most of the Trunnion Ball Valves has seat emergency grease fittings as
standard.
Most trunnion mounted Ball Valves are monogrammed per API6D.
Soft seated Floater limits are about
150 Class up to 12" 300 Class up to 10" - 12" 600 Class up to 4-6"
