Dear friends,
I need clarification for material specification in HP
diesel injection line.
As per piping specification, downhole diesel injection
line (H.P line) is of API CLASS 5000. The piping &
fitting material is ASTM-A519 GR4130 & flanges are of
API 6A- ASTM A-694-F60
We are not getting the correct consumables for this
piping class . So we are working on substitution of
this material with other which can withstand 345 bar
pressure AT 1000 C.
So can I use A-106 GRB Piping with higher wall thickness which can withstand above design parameters. If yes how can I take care of fittings? So that I can match pipe & fitting ID. Also A-106 GR-B is having yield strength very less compared with A-519 GR-4130
Another solution is I can substitute with API-5L GR-X60 having the same yield strength as A-519 GR-4130 & also we are not having difficulty in getting consumables for the same.
If anyone faces this kind of problem please let me know.
Appreciate your valuable time.
Best Regards
