Robert, I assume you have access to a fab shop.

If so, I'd suggest that you take a walk and ask a fitter.

All us design and engineering people don't really have the time to explore minutia like this (just rotate the elbow when welding, no?). Besides, it's little details like this that keep us humble when it comes to talking to the people that do the *real* work.
