I doubt if its the interpreter; more likely a few bad sectors on the hard drive due to excessive application of lubricant. Unfortunately, drying out doesnt seem to help. Suggest you reformat.

I've tried that already using external fluid containment vessels ( http://www.cafeshops.com/cp/prod.aspx?p=pipingdesign.523344 ), but I think this problem is more related to the data-interpretation device's inability to collect incoming information completely.
