Stub in 16D Bend

Dear Members,

I have come accross a case like 2"(sch80) stub to be taken from centre of 16D 8"X sch120 22degree bend(instead of eloblet) to check re-inforcement pad requirement.
I have taken it as straight pipe(header) with 45 degree lateral branch ,because removal area is more, and checked as per B31.3 pad calculation . Is there is any other procedure to check as such case.Can you shed any light on this.
