Rebis is good because of it's widespread use and "tie-in" (if I can coin a term) to AutoCAD. I agree with the percieved snobbishness of some PDS/PDMS users, it's a sort of prestige status not dissimilar to those that use Linux as an operating system.
Anyway, it's still the person behind the design, not the software, that makes a difference. The mega-bucks industry that sells, installs and services hardware and software created for people like us try to make us think that the bestest system will make you a better designer.
We've had this argument here before, maybe it's time to resurrect it for the newcomers.

as rebis says--if your model get over 25meg---break it up---plus you need
512 memory--thats not that expensive!---if you follow the quidelines from
rebis---on how to use the software----it does work----------and well!-------------you dont use rebis as if you were using pds or pdms--------you have a rwa file---------and---------models of differentsystems or groups of systems that are then xrefed in the rwa---------------it seems that the guys i know who have used pds then use rebis always talk it down-------one guy--even after his lead told him not to put all the pipe on one model did it anyway--because thats the way pds does
it-------------------READ THE MANUAL----FOLLOW DIRECTIONS--rebis will run well---------------and works----------if you follow the way it was designed to be used------------------not the way you use pds!
