Off Topic Your Email Address being Sold

I just noticed that if one searches Google for Eng-tips that other well known industry forum an unusal surprise awaits. There are several links to people selling the Eng-Tips email lists. Am I naive or should I have been aware of this going on?

This may be why my email is constantly bombarded by pictures of things this tired old body cant keep up with.
