The finish for ASME large dia flanges are not smooth but rather phono with 125 RMS finish. Suggest, you run a calc for the Weld Neck to determine loading. If everything has been confirm, ensure that flange surface finish and fit up is Ok. if not OK, reface and correct fitup. Repalce bolts and tightened using multiple stud tensioner.
