I need to do a tank survey on 13off 79 metre diameter floating roof tanks in Libya. I need to measure the rim seal gap in order to choose the correct type of rim seal.
It states in the scope of work "The Survey shall be carried out
using laser measurements i.e., TOPCON Total Station laser survey
equipment (with an accuracy of +/- 3 mm horizontally) or similar".
The survey is to be conducted at 36 diametrically opposite points
around the tank circumference and is to be measured on every course.
The diameter of the roof shall also be measured.
The tank farm is a fully working tank farm and the tanks contain
crude oil.
Has anyone done any thing like this or suggest a suitable survey
contractor.
The Contractor does not have to be in Libya. They can fly in for a
surrounding country.
