I never have experience with the dual plate (Goodwin) type check valves. But from what I heard, it has lower flow resistance, is is lighter, and has lower capital cost. But I also was told that in some application the valve would chatter thus prematurely damaging the swing plates. At high temperature application (don't know how high), the spring would weaken and requires higher service interval. Is the pressure fluctuation at your compressor outlet great? Would that cause a chatter? What is your exit temperature? Low I suppose.
