Allowable loads/moments on X-mas tree flanges

Hi!!!!!!

This is regarding a well head platform X-mas tree. The flange joints for the tie-in between flow lines and x-mas tree is with 3-1/8" API-6A 5000# flanges. We are asked to do stress analysis for taking care of the x-mas tree thermal growth during operation. 1.what are the allowable loads/moments on this tie-in joint?
2.Is there any code which defines the allowables. 3.I followed API-6AF , which gives charts for the axial and bending moments(static loading only) on API flange joints.
Can this be used if I convert thermal loads also into sustained loads and treat them as static loads/moments and compare them with the allowables given by API6AF charts?

Stress gurus please throw some light

Thanks
