I am no expert in this field. I have come across papers by CSIRO in Australia where their fire division have carried out tests on these materials. I believe that the results may be part of the Building Code of Australia. Is there a building code in Singapore?
The matters discussed were related to emission of toxic fumes in a building fire rather than whether the materials were flammable or not. From this perspective the metals shouldnt be a problem whereas the palastics may.
Materials such as CPVC are however used in sprinkler systems. The argument being that a thermoplastic material doesnt rust so that when you want the sprinklers to work they wont be clogged with rust as so mnay galvanised steel pipes would be in such instances. Even in the fire was extreme and melted the plastic the water from the leak would control the fire.
Perhaps you can give us a little more information as to why the question was asked.
