Subject: [PipingDesign] Small Bore Piping, 600# and 800# Rating

Forwarded message:

Dear Friends,

Can any one throw some light on why the small size( less than 1 1/2") valves rating has been standardised as 800# class for piping class ratings up to 600#-ANSI? It looks like basic fundamental question but not able to find any convincing clarification regarding this matter?

Thank you.

Regards,
GMK Rao.
