the compressor is a 2 stage centrifugal compressor both stages having
independent suction & discharge lines.

support columns - is this compressor mounted on a platform? Normally,
onshore, we would have the compressor (or compressor skid) mounted on a
concrete block. Then, the compressor discharge bottles would be supported
by a series of adjustable wedges, one under each compressor nozzle. The
discharge line would then run (preferably through a couple of 90 ells to
give some flexibility) to a support block, independent of the compressor
block.
