Plug valve : API 6D Vs BS 5353.

Plug valves are available as per API6D as well as BS 5353.I wanted to know the comparison between these two codes. The API6D basically used for Pipe line industry valves.My specific requirement is for Petrochemical plant.
Can any body come out with comparison on this issue. Regards,
