Based on recent actual studies following is the conculsions
1 GRP Pipes are about 10 -20 % higher when compared to Bare Carbon Steel 2 GRP pipes are about of the same price when compared to Coated Carbon Steel 3 GRP pipes are about 15-25 % Cheaper when compared to Carbon Steel with Any Proetections such as cathodic protection etc
HOWEVER, FOR GRP pipes IT IS RECOMENDED TO STUDY THE total LIFE CYCLE COSTS ratther than Comapring the prices at intial purchasing time. Becasue GRP pipe have advantages of low tranportaion, low installation and NO Maintanance costs, lesser sizes wiht low pumping costs because of its smooth surface over the long periods.
